The delete function is often used when you have made a lot of scheduling errors in a service order to the point where it is now easier to start again.

  • Example - A client requires a dog walk every Monday and Tuesday throughout June. You have created a service order and booked a dog walk for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (by mistake). In this example it is easier to delete all the services you have created and re-schedule the jobs correctly.

  • Important The delete function should be used with care. Unlike voided or canceled items, deleted items may not be re-instated or recovered. They are permanently removed from your system and can only be recovered with a backup copy of your data.

  • As a safeguard against accidental deletions, a warning will appear that will require you to to confirm your deletion by clicking a second "delete" button. 

  • As an additional safeguard, if the date of a service is in the past, or a service has been invoiced, then the service cannot be deleted without being voided or canceled first. See Voiding a Service or Canceling a Service for further information.


Services that are deleted:

  • are removed from your service order completely and cannot be reinstated, but new services can be re-scheduled to replace the ones that have been deleted.

  • are removed from the administrator and staff schedules so that the work does not get carried out.

  • are removed from client quotes and invoices (the client does not need to see your scheduling errors).

  • are removed from staff compensation reports (your staff do not need to see your scheduling errors).


NOTE: Deleted services CANNOT be re-instated like a canceled or voided service.


How do I Delete one or more Services in a Service Order?

            ON DESKTOP:

Navigate to Clients > Orders & Invoices > click on a service order

STEP 1​​​

  • Select the service(s) to be deleted by checking the boxes on the left of the service order.

  • Click "Delete".


NOTE: If the services you are deleting are dated in the past - you will have to cancel or void the services first before you will be permitted to delete them.


  • When the warning appears, click the red "Delete" option, or click "cancel" if you are not sure.


  • If any of the services you selected to delete are in the past or are already invoiced, then the services will not be deleted. A notification will appear saying that you need to first Void the services, then delete them.



  • Tap the Navigator and select Clients > Search


  • Navigate to your client's account from the Clients search page.

  • In the left-side navigation pane, tap "Orders & Invoices".


  • Tap on the order label to open the service order that holds the services you want to delete.

  • Select the service(s) you want to delete by tapping on the box to the left of the service(s).

    • If you need to delete all services in the service order, there is an "All" checkbox above the services.​ Tap "All" to select all services.

  • Once the services are selected, tap the "Actions" drop-down button.​

  • Tap "Delete".


  • Before the services are deleted, a confirmation message will appear asking "Are you sure?" 

  • Tap "Delete" to delete the selected services, or tap "Cancel" to exit.

  • Once you tap "Delete", the services will be deleted completely and removed entirely from Pet Sitter Plus.

  • Deleted services cannot be reinstated, but you can add new services to your order.


  • You cannot immediately delete services that are dated in the past or that have already been invoiced.

  • This is a security measure to prevent services that have already occurred and/or already been invoiced from being deleted. 

  • You'll see a message telling you that the service cannot be deleted.Tap "OK", and then you can void or cancel the service, and then delete the service.
