There may be occasions where you need to edit a receipt to correct an error.
 

  • All receipts posted for the client will be listed on their Receipts page in reverse date order, with the most recent receipt at the top of the list, as shown in the screenshot below.

  • Note that up to 10 receipts are shown on each page. If there more than 10 receipts have been posted to a client, older receipts are shown on the second and subsequent pages. Click the page number to access the required page.

 

How do I Amend a Receipt?

            ON DESKTOP:

Navigate to Clients > Receipts & Refunds > Receipts

STEP 1​​​

  • Click on the Receipt you wish to edit.

STEP 2

  • Amend the information as follows:

    • Date​: Edit the date the payment was received.

    • Amount: Edit the payment amount.

    • Receipt Type: Edit the method of payment, such as direct credit, cash or check.

    • Details: The default text can be left as "Payment Received" or you can adjust to suit your own description, such as adding a Check number.

  • If you need to delete the receipt entirely then click the "Delete" button. 

STEP 3

  • Once you have saved your changes, the new receipt amount can be viewed in the "Receipts" list.

STEP 4

  • If the original receipt had been allocated to an invoice, and you amended the payment amount, then the allocation for the invoice may change.

  • In this example, we changed the payment amount from $21.00 to $10.00. So while Invoice No. 546 for $21.00 used to be marked "Paid" it is now "Outstanding" with $11.00 still due. 

ON MOBILE:

STEP 1

  • Tap the Navigator and select Clients > Search

STEP 2

  • Navigate to your client's account from the Clients search page.

  • In the left-side navigation pane, tap "Receipts & Refunds" then tap "Receipts".

STEP 3

  • Tap on the Receipt you wish to edit. 

STEP 4

  • Amend the information as follows:

    • Date​: Edit the date the payment was received.

    • Amount: Edit the payment amount.

    • Receipt Type: Edit the method of payment, such as direct credit, cash or check.

    • Details: The default text can be left as "Payment Received" or you can adjust to suit your own description, such as adding a Check number.

  • Tap "Update" to save your changes. ​

  • If you need to delete the receipt entirely then tap the "Delete" button.
