Unlike many of the functions in Pet Sitter Plus, you would not "delete" a quote in the same way as you might delete a "service" or an "order".

 

The reason for this is that a "quote" represents the status of a service order and is purely a vehicle to inform a client of how much their services will cost, prior to you invoicing the client for the services that they have received.

Here is an explanation of how this typically might work:
 

  1. A client requests some services from their client portal. You view the request and decide that you can carry out the services - so you schedule the services. A service order is generated by PSP.

    • Or, you create a service order for a client for services that they have asked you to undertake.

  2. Either way, at this stage the order is automatically set at "Quote" status.

  3. You now have two options - you either convert the quote into an invoice, or if you decide you can no longer offer the services to the client, you need to delete the services and then delete the order.

  4. Whichever action you take, your quote will no longer exist (it has either been converted to an invoice, or the services and service order have been deleted), so in effect the Quote is "deleted".​

How do I Delete a Quote?

            ON DESKTOP:

Navigate to Clients > Orders & Invoices

STEP 1​​​

  • From the client's orders screen, identify the order/quote you wish to delete by its name, or the service dates.

  • Click the blue link with the Order Label to open the service order.

STEP 2

 

  • Delete the services from the service order by selecting all of the services and clicking the Delete button. See Deleting a Service.

  • Then delete the service order by clicking "Remove this order" on the Orders & Invoices page. See Deleting an Order

  • When the service order has been deleted, the Quote is in effect deleted.

ON MOBILE:

STEP 1

  • Tap the Navigator and select Clients > Search

STEP 2

  • Navigate to your client's account from the Clients search page.

  • In the left-side navigation pane, tap "Orders & Invoices".

STEP 3

  • Navigate to the service order where you would like to "delete" the quote.

  • ​Tap the service order label to open the order for the quote.​

  • Delete the services from the service order by selecting all of the services and clicking the Delete button. See Deleting a Service.

  • Then delete the service order by clicking "Remove this order" on the Orders & Invoices page. See Deleting an Order

  • When the service order has been deleted, the Quote is in effect deleted.
