Many pet sitting businesses have a procedure for when a staff member has completed a visit or walk they must return the client's key to the business owner or administrator so it is back in a secure location.

 

How do I return a key?

 

ON DESKTOP:

Navigate to Clients > Client Admin > Keys

STEP 1​​​

  • Select the key from the key menu on the left.

  • To return a key, select "[not set]" in the Assigned Staff drop-down menu.

  • This will "un-assign" the key from the staff member, in effect marking it returned. Click "Update" to save your changes.

 

STEP 2

  • The date and time is recorded when "Update" is clicked.

  • The "Assigned Staff" will remain "[not set]" until the key is assigned to another sitter at another time.

ON MOBILE:

STEP 1

  • Tap the Navigator and select Clients > Search

STEP 2

  • Navigate to your client's account from the Clients search page.

  • In the left-side navigation pane, tap "Client Admin", then tap "Keys".

STEP 3

  • From the client's Key List, tap the key that you would like to return.

STEP 4

  • To return a key, select "[not set]" in the Assigned Staff drop-down menu. Tap "Done".

  • This will "un-assign" the key from the staff member, in effect marking it returned.

  • Tap "Update" to save your changes.
