Sometimes you may need to mark a client "Inactive" if, for example, they have moved away from the area and you no longer deal with them. But perhaps you need to access their account for some historical data or to retrieve a phone number or email address. You can include "Inactive" clients in your search so that these clients are displayed in your search results along with your Active clients.
Each client has a checkbox on the Client Details screen labelled "Active". When you create a client, their record is Active by default, but if you do not wish the client to appear in your index, then you can make them inactive by un-checking the "Active" box.
By default, the alpha search and the wildcard search include only Active clients. If you wish to include inactive clients in your search, then click the "Include Inactive Clients" checkbox and your search results will include both active and inactive clients.
At this point you can also change a client's status from "inactive" to "active".
How do I find an Inactive client?
Navigate to CLIENTS
Check the box for "Include inactive clients" in the right hand menu. Inactive clients will appear in grey type in the index.
To see an inactive client's record, click on their name from the list.
Tap the Navigator and select Clients > Search
On the Clients page, tap the "Filters" button.
On the Filters menu, check the box for "Include inactive clients."
This will automatically generate a client list that includes both active and inactive clients.
Tap the "X" in the upper right-hand corner to exit the Filters menu.
Inactive clients will be greyed-out in the list of clients.
Tap on any client name to access their account.
