The Alias Section

 

The only standard field in this section is the Diary Ref (Schedule Ref) field. It appears in various places throughout Pet Sitter Plus so it is important to understand where this happens so you can decide what you want it to be. 

 

  • Whatever you type into the client Diary Ref (Schedule Ref) will appear in schedule entries for the client, It will also be used with the merge code {CLIENT_REFERENCE} which can be used in any email template, or in your invoice or quote narrative for example.

  • You can type whatever you like into the client diary ref (schedule ref) but we generally recommend the name of the pet or pets, or an abbreviation of these.

  • Alternatively (for example), if you feed cats for your client and they have four cats, you could type "cats" into the diary ref (schedule ref) so that you don't clutter up your schedule with the names of four cats. However, if you use the {CLIENT_REFERENCE} merge code, your text may read "We are delighted to be visiting cats soon" so be aware of this.

 

How do I change the Diary Ref?

 ON DESKTOP:

Navigate to Clients > Client Data > Client Details 

STEP 1

 

  • Simply enter your new text and click "Update".

NOTE: Custom Fields enables our pet sitting companies to create and develop their own environment within the Clients pages within Pet Sitter Plus. This means that where your admin has introduced custom fields that are unique to your business, certain fields on our help screens may not look exactly the same as yours. We therefore can only provide explanations and descriptions of our standard system fields, and recommend you see your admin for more information.

ON MOBILE:

STEP 1

  • Tap the Navigator and select Clients > Search

STEP 2

  • Navigate to your client's account from the Clients search page.

  • Tap on their name to open their account.

  • In the left-side navigation pane, tap "Client Data" then tap "Client Details".

STEP 3

  • Enter your text (usually the pets' names) into the Diary Ref/Schedule Ref field.

  • This text will appear in schedule entries for the client, and it will be used with the merge code {CLIENT_REFERENCE} which can be used in any email template.

  • Tap "Update" to save your changes.
